All brides
glitter with beauty the day of their marriage. Besides your
regular make-up, it is important to bring out the natural
beauty of your skin so, take the necessary time for this.
Useful things to do:
6 months before the wedding
• Consult your beautician
to identify your skin type and the range of products which
could suit you.
• Get a good facial treatment to refine the texture
of your skin and give it some brightness.
3 months before the wedding
• Get yourself another facial
to clarify your complexion and make sure to regularly use
the products which will have been advised to you.
• At home continue using the treatments which will have
been recommended to you by your beautician. This includes
carefully washing your face, using a gumming to remove the
dead cells and, applying a weekly mask to clean your skin
more in depth. Although these beauty techniques should be
followed all year long, they are essential in this time period
prior to your big day.
• Test your make-up and hairstyle.
1 week before the wedding
• Get your last facial before
the day of the wedding.
No beautician? You do your own make-up?
Here are some beauty tricks!
Skin care
• at least 6 months before
the wedding, simply consult your pharmacist or beautician
to obtain recommendations on the types of products you should
use. Skin care at home should include: milk or gel cleanser,
a lotion, a disincrustant lotion or gumming, a moisturising
and protective day cream as well as a mask. All these should
be adapted to your type of skin.
• Use these products regularly to have clear skin the
day of the wedding. Remember that well cleaned skin allows
your make-up to last longer, as well as be easier to apply.
• On the day of your wedding:
o Drink a lot of water
o Apply a matifiant cream if your skin is
oily or mixed. If your skin is normal or dry apply a good
moisturising cream.
o A light make-up base and moisturising
cream together: opt for a tinted day cream which will give
brilliance and a natural aspect to your complexion.
Make-up
• Determine if your complexion
is a warm or cold tint to choose the colours which shall highlight
you best
• Test different make-up scenarios to find your style
• On the day of your wedding:
o Do you want to make-up lightly? Use discreet
colours in twinkling pastel tones which will highlight your
eyes. Powder your cheeks slightly to give you a healthy appearance.
And why not add a little tanning powder to complete the look?
And for your lips, use a slightly tinted lip gloss.
o Powder your face with a light or compact
powder (this one covers more)
o Use a water atomizer such as Évian's
to hold your makeup
o Durring the day, remove the shine on your
skin by applying a tissue lightly to your face which will
absorb it. Powder your face again and vaporize it with the
water. This is an effective technique (and refreshing) to
keep your face glittering throughout the day.
