Finding the perfect dress

When looking for a bridal dress which will fit you like a glove, it is necessary to take into account a few details:

1. The season of the year that you are getting married
2. Will the ceremony take place in the daytime or in the evening?
3. The style of ceremony (traditional, country, ethnic, medieval, eclectic)

To best manage your time, you will need to foresee the time necessary to place the order of the dress and for all the fittings that will follow.

Finally, the sooner you begin looking the more time you will have to choose a model you like and which will highlight your silhouette. Giving yourself more time will allow you more options to shop in your price range as well.

A style of dress that is really you

Although traditionally the bridal dress should be white or ivory, nowadays we can find models decorated with subtle or pronounced colored details.

Besides colours, the styles are now more varied as well. Your dress can be romantic, sophisticated or even sexy...

Keep in mind that it is the bride's dress which defines the style of the bridesmaids' dresses . For that reason, your dress should be chosen first. So, if time allows it, please reserve your dress 1 year to 6 months in advance. Don't forget that there will certainly be alterations and adjustments to make.

Where to find inspiration: bridal shows, specialized reviews from here and elsewhere, store catalogs, dresses chosen by your friends at their wedding.

Tissues: again, the season of your wedding date should strongly influence the style but also the materials of your bridal dress. For example, silk, and organza are light tissues which facilitate your movements during the warm summer months. Brocade and velvet in turn are ideal for winter. As for satin and tulle, they are in fact perfect all year round.
