Turquoise blue waters, a sandy
coastline as far as the eye can see, an island with unique
charm: that's Barbados!
This small island, 38 km long, offers
an eyefull with its mix of beaches and cliffs. The Bajan (local
name given to the inhabitants of the island) are very hospitable
just as the island itself which welcomes you with its beaches
of white and pink sand.
It's the paradisiac island for many
Montrealer newlyweds. That you decided to play some golf,
go on a nature safari or investigate the marine life with
a dive, Barbados will have more than one trick up its sleeve
to satisfy all your needs.
The average temperature is around 25
degrees Celsius while nights are slightly cooler. Although
hurricanes usually avoid this small island, precipitation
generally comes and goes quickly. The dry season is usually
from January till June.
On a practical note, USD are accepted,
but the capital, Bridgetown has a Royal Bank of Canada. And
yes! Canadians are regular and welcome guests on this this
beautifull little island.
